Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced a week-long driving experience in Tuscany that will take place in early fall.

The drive, dubbed “Beyond by Four Seasons: An Exclusive Driving Journey Through Tuscany,” will start in Florence and utilize the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze as a home base.

The week-long tour will start on September 24 and run through September 30 and is the first time the hotel company has offered a driving holiday. It has offered the the Private Jet Experience, a journey that includes air travel on the Four Seasons Jet as well as stays in Four Seasons hotels around the world, since 2014 and recently upgraded its aircraft from a Boeing 757 to an Airbus A321LR.

Four Seasons promises that participants will experience the region’s picturesque landscapes as well as access to venues normally closed to the public. They will enjoy “remarkable culinary offerings” as well as the opera, lunch under the arcades of Montalcino City Hall, and the beautiful landscapes of Siena. Other components of the tour include wine tastings and visits to the vineyards of Ornellaia.

“Car enthusiasts are invited to enjoy the splendors of Italy with a customized week-long itinerary unlocking scenic drives, world-class cuisine, and insider access to Tuscany’s celebrated sites,” the hotelier said in a statement.

Guests can provide their own vehicles or arrange for the loan of a vintage motorcar or a modern sportscar for the course of the drive.

Four Seasons has enlisted the aid of local authorities as well.

“Our unique collaboration gives travelers a rare view of the region’s must-see sites, hidden routes, and best-kept secrets,” said Dario Nardella, the sindaco, or mayor, of Florence.
