Nicky Butt is ready to find a new soccer training challenge after deciding to part ways with him Manchester United after their recent staff restructuring.
The former English midfielder was a player at the club between 1991 and 2004 and won six Premier League titles and the Champions League under Sir Alex Ferguson.
The 46-year-old said of his exit: “Having graduated from the academy myself to play nearly 400 games for Manchester United, it has been an absolute privilege to come back and work with a new generation of talent who are making the same journey.”
Daily Star Sport has now looked at six potential destinations for Butt to challenge himself in the world of football, one of which takes place in the United States.

Butt could pick Wayne Rooney in Derby County as United’s top scorer looks to continue his good start into management next season.
Derby has moved up to 19th place in the table after nine wins from 28 games and they have been able to find a place for Butt in their staff to improve their experience.
Although Butt left United in 2004, the same year Rooney joined, the list of mutual contacts could lead the former England internationals to work together at the championship.
Notts County
Butt could replace Neal Ardley on Meadow Lane as Notts County looks for a new manager to return to the football league.
Ardley left the club after almost three years after a draw with Yeovil Town and has not been in the second division since his relegation in 2019.
Celtic

Celtic are currently considering their options of a new boss after missing out on Steven Gerrards Rangers’ tenth straight Scottish Premier League title.
John Kennedy was temporarily put in charge after Neil Lennon left, but he’s not sure if he’ll have a permanent position next season.
Another former United man linked to the role is Roy Keane, who played for the club after leaving Old Trafford.

Newcastle fans have been looking for a new manager as Steve Bruce’s side continue to battle relegation to the championship despite a good start to the season.
In addition to having extensive coaching skills, Butt also captained the club while at St. James after leaving United in 2004.
After playing 134 league games for the club, he might have the knowledge to get them to safety should Mike Ashley decide to part ways with Bruce.
Inter Miami

Butt could bond with former England and United teammate Phil Neville by joining MLS team Inter Miami, part owned by David Beckham.
The Miami-based club are looking to make an impression on the standings after a difficult first season and Butt’s experience could be seen as the finishing touches.
