After seven seasons at Bayern Munich It’s hard to imagine that he won everything there is to win with the club Robert Lewandowski somewhere else.

At 32, he had another ridiculous season in Bavaria. He not only won his seventh Bundesliga title in a row, but also scored 48 goals from 40 games.

With 41 of those who come into the league he can officially claim the highest scoring Bundesliga season of all time .

Bayern legend Gerd Müller scored 40 league goals in the 1971/72 season, a record of 49 years.

Robert Lewandowski could leave Bayern Munich this summer

After winning the Champions League, the Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup last year with a clean blow to the domestic silver – Bayern are only the second team in football history after Pep Guardiola Barcelona to win a six-fold – it would be understandable if Lewandowski had the feeling of no longer conquering worlds.

He seems to have hinted at a feeling of wanderlust in an interview with Canal + this week: “I stay open-minded. I feel very much at home at Bavaria, the city is great, it’s a great club.

“I’m always curious to learn a new language, a new culture. But even I don’t know whether it will be in football or after my career. “

While the Bayern hierarchy has already made it clear that they would be very reluctant to lose him can a man dream. Should Lewandowski leave Bayern, where could he realistically go?

Paris St. Germain

Lewandowski still has a two-year contract with FC Bayern, so even though he will be 33 in August, everyone who is interested has to pay a sizable transfer fee.

Fulfilling his wage demands would not be easy either. That limits him to a few select destinations, one of which is Paris Saint-Germain.

With Kylian Mbappe’s future still uncertain, PSG may need a striker. Mbappe still has a year left on his current contract and has been adamant with a move to real Madrid.

Lewandowski would fit, but according to but Heaven Germany, he doesn’t feel like playing in Ligue 1.

Apparently he would much rather play in Spain, which leads us to …

real Madrid

PSG are still trying to convince Mbappe to sign a new deal and if he were to stay in Paris Real might have to consider an alternative.

While Karim Benzema was one of the outstanding players last season and scored 30 goals in 46 games, Lewandowski is one of the few strikers with better numbers than him.

Lewandowski, who won the European Golden Boot for the first time this season, looks more like a Galactico than ever before.

Real Madrid, however, are under tighter financial constraints than usual because of their massive debts .

This means that even Florentino Perez, despite all his machinations, could have difficulties financing a move for Lewy. The same applies…

Barcelona

Despite signing Sergio Aguero for a free transfer, Barcelona are still linked to Lewandowski.

However, it is hard to see how they could afford it as they are also in a difficult position financially.

The idea that Lewandowski will play before Lionel Messi seems to come straight from FIFA, but it would be immensely worth seeing.

It seems unlikely, but not impossible. If Lewandowski is looking to test himself in the league, there are few more difficult challenges than helping Barca rediscover their winning habits.

With Ronald Koeman’s future as a coach uncertain, the club seems to be in a state of flux on and off the pitch. Even someone as confident as Lewandowski might think twice before plunging headlong into the chaos at Camp Nou.

Chelsea

Among the clubs reportedly interested in signing Lewandowski, Chelsea seem the most believable.

Having just won the Champions League, there will be no shortage of money this summer.

Given Timo Werner’s difficulties last season, it would be easy to understand why Thomas Tuchel would want to sign a constant goalscorer.

You are not more consistent than Lewandowski, who would find himself under a significant ex-Bundesliga contingent on Stamford Bridge.

Lewandowski’s arrival would not necessarily mean the end of Werner, who could be substituted for him as a second striker. Since he already knows Werner and Kai Havertz from their time at RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen, Lewy could be an excellent mentor for them.

Manchester city

Earlier this month ESPN reported that Manchester city could also be for Lewandowski.

Given their enormous resources, they could certainly fund a deal. With Aguero out, a new striker is their priority in the transfer market.

While City have not had a habit of signing players over 30 recently, they would almost certainly make an exception for Lionel Messi if he left Barca this summer. Why not Lewandowski?

Pep Guardiola was in charge at Bayern when they signed him from Borussia Dortmund and the couple had a productive working relationship.

“He’s the most professional player I’ve ever met,” said Guardiola shortly before leaving Bayern for the city. “I was always very, very satisfied with him from the first moment.”
