SIDNEY – The Snow Pond Center for the Arts has been awarded $ 1,662 in sponsorship by the Kennebec Valley Tourism Council in Augusta.

The funds are to be used for a marketing video and to support the growth of tourism in the Kennebec Valley, Maine, with a positive economic impact on the area.

Snow Pond was one of 12 sponsors recognized as part of the KVTC Marketing Partnership Program 2021. Application requests reached nearly $ 29,100. The organization was unable to fully fund all regional sponsorships for its members that year, but was able to fund approximately $ 19,350 with help from Brookfield Renewable US.

“Snow Pond is proud to work with the local council to promote tourism. Snow Pond’s Bowl in the Pines is poised to be a major tourist attraction and national tour venue. The marketing video produced with this grant funding will have a longer lifespan and reach than the advertisement for a single event. The video will also highlight the Belgrade Lakes region as a cultural destination for travelers and complement the regional population growth initiative by showing the region as a great place to visit, live and work! “Said Christa Johnson, director of development, after being released from the center.
