FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – Add travel to activities vaccinated Americans can enjoy again.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated his manual Friday to say that fully vaccinated people can travel within the US without getting a COVID-19 test or going into quarantine.

The agency previously warned against unnecessary travel, even for vaccinated people.

The agency says vaccinated people should still wear a mask and social distance when traveling.

For international travel, vaccinated people should receive a COVID-19 test before flying to the US and tested shortly after their return.

Abby and Brian Sheehan say they look forward to travel but still want to take precautions.

“I would feel safe traveling if I had the vaccine. That’s a step in the right direction,” said Brian Sheehan, an expert on vaccines, but I trust what the CDC says. ”

Jasmine Christenson says she was waiting to visit her grandparents in Florida.

“I have my grandparents in Florida who I couldn’t visit because they are older,” said Christenson. “After the vaccination, I would like to see her.”
