Hotels in Oman have introduced four-day stay packages that allow people to arrive before the lockdown and leave after the lockdown ends.
Muscat: Hotels in Oman have introduced offers for people to spend the lockdown period during the upcoming Eid Al Adha holidays.
Although the holidays run from Sunday July 18 through Thursday July 22, most of the country will be locked during the three days of Eid that begins Tuesday July 20. In anticipation of this, hotels have introduced four-day stay packages so that people can arrive before the lockdown and leave after the lockdown ends.
Up in the mountains of Jabal Akhdar, where the temperatures are much cooler than in the plains below, the Sahab Resort offers guests a package of OMR300 for double occupancy for three nights including all meals.
“We also have a deluxe suite for the price of OMR350 and a family suite for the OMR550,” said Arup Singh Deo, Director of Operations and Projects at Al Nahda Hotels and Resorts. “Our other establishment, the Al Nahda Resort and Spa, has prices from OMR 180 for the Executive Suite, OMR 210 for the Premium Suite and OMR 350 for our exclusive Royal Suite, all including all meals.”
The climate is also cooler in Dhofar Governorate, where Alila Hinu Bay is one of many hotels and resorts expecting to welcome vaccinated visitors to experience the Khareef season. Characterized by cool winds, continuous rain and fog-covered landscapes, the excellent weather in the region turns the normally brown land green.

At the Grand Millennium Hotel in Bowshar, guests can book a four-day package for the price of OMR160 (including two meals) for couples and OMR240 for a family of four. “We have about 100 twin rooms, with two rooms next to each other. This is a great opportunity for families to spend some quality time together while enjoying their privacy, ”said Ishaq Qazi, Grand Millennium Sales Director. “This is an opportunity for families to spend some time outside the home and together.
Guests checking in at the Grand Millennium can use the on-site facilities such as the gym and swimming pool, with room rates including breakfast and lunch or dinner. There is also a 20 percent discount on all food and drinks.
Over at Al Mouj in Seeb, the Kempinski Hotel has a similar offer where families can pay OMR70 for two adults and two children per night with a minimum stay of four nights. You can also benefit from free breakfast, a 20 percent discount on all other food and drinks, and spa treatments during your stay. Use of the gym and pool is free, but reservations are required as these facilities operate at a reduced capacity.
“In the days after lockdown, walk-ins who want to dine with us can use our restaurants until around 4pm,” said Firas Rashid, director of sales and marketing for the hotel. “House guests can use it until around 10:30 pm.
“We also have great activities for our kids: our kids club is open to guests, but as per COVID protocols we won’t be offering group activities,” he added. “We have already received many inquiries for our stays as the Eid vacation is now out and we expect to see bookings made soon.”
Radisson has also introduced promotions at its hotels in Muscat and Sohar. At both the Hormuz Grand Muscat, a Radisson Collection Hotel, and the Park Inn by Radisson Muscat, guests who book four nights only have to pay three. Prices in the Hormuz start at OMR129 and go up to OMR246 for two adults and two children.
Over at the Park Inn, the packages range between OMR69 and OMR126. Likewise, guests at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Muscat can expect prices from OMR99 to OMR150 for two adults. All three hotels have this offer from July 15th to 31st.
Radisson Blu in Sohar has also introduced this special offer, but only from July 19-23. Guests can expect to pay between OMR126 and OMR207 for a four-night package during the Eid Al Adha vacation.
