Hotels under development in the US include the fifth Courtyard by Marriott in Washington, DC; a Bulgari Resort in Los Angeles and more.

Courtyard by Marriott Washington, DC Dupont Circle
Courtyard by Marriott will return to the Dupont Circle neighborhood in Washington, DC, with Courtyard by Marriott Washington, DC Dupont Circle expected to open next month. The hotel is close to Embassy Row, St. Matthew the Apostle Cathedral and the National Geographic Museum.

The 10-story property will have 143 rooms, each with smart TVs with streaming capabilities. The lobby has check-in pods and high-backed semi-private cabins. Additional amenities include a fitness center and two dining options.

This Courtyard by Marriott in Dupont Circle will be the brand’s fifth hotel in the country’s capital.

The Bulgari Resort Los Angeles
Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has signed a contract with owner and developer Gary Safady for a new Bulgari Resort in Los Angeles. It is slated to open in 2025 and will be the second Bulgari hotel in the US after opening in Miami in 2024. The Bulgari Resort Los Angeles is expected to be the 12th hotel in the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts collection.

Located in the Santa Monica Mountains, less than five miles from Rodeo Drive, the resort is expected to include 58 rooms and suites, eight private properties and the signature Bulgari Il Ristorante, as well as a 10,000 square meter property. Spa, a fitness studio, a cinema and an exclusive sushi bar with eight seats.

Much of the resort’s guest rooms and suites will be located in secluded bungalows that are located in the eastern half of the property.

Thompson Buckhead
Thompson Buckhead in suburban Atlanta is expected to open earlier this winter. The 10-storey hotel is designed by architects Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio and built under general contractors Brasfield & Gorrie. The interiors are designed by Studio 11.

Located in the center of Buckhead Village, the hotel will have 201 guest rooms and suites with chevron wood floors, carpets and marble mosaics. Each room features skyline views, bespoke 400 thread count Sferra linens, Sealy Tempur-Pedic mattresses, DS & Durga bath products, oversized signature Thompson Hotels robes and a locally curated minibar.

Guests staying in the suites and rooms on the hotel’s ninth floor have access to Tesserae, the hotel’s private rooftop club, which offers exclusive F&B amenities and access to privately curated events. Additional amenities include a rooftop pool with private cabanas; Dirty rascal restaurant; and more than 4,100 m² of meeting and event space.

Studying at Johns Hopkins
Study Hotels will continue to grow into high-profile university markets with its fourth hotel, The Study at Johns Hopkins.

The adaptive reuse plan will transform the existing Blackstone Apartments into a 115-room hotel that will be located at the main entrance of the Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus and as part of the Charles Village Corridor.

The hotel’s living room will encourage social interaction. The space will be furnished with a mix of transitional and contemporary furniture. A large bookshelf, a trademark of the Study Hotel Living Room, will display books by authors and scholars from Johns Hopkins University.
