Tourism, health insurance, digital marketing and real estate are topics of discussion in the Business Outlook Forum, which will take place on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. on Zoom.

“After a year of not knowing what was in stock, ACRA is excited to host the first Business Outlook Forum,” said Alycin Bektesh, communications manager at ACRA. “This event reconnects our member network and provides valuable insider knowledge to help business owners and their employees prepare for the exciting summer of Aspen to come.”

Presentations are scheduled from Aspen Mayor Torre, Aspen City Manager Sara Ott, and members of Pitkin County Public Health. ACRA President Debbie Braun will act as moderator.

Also, Insights Collective members Barb Taylor, Dave Bellin, Tom Foley and Ralf Garrison will speak on the state of tourism, including a chat with Mike Kaplan, CEO of Aspen Skiing Co. The Insights Collective was grouped after the pandemic Founded by tourism veterans to help goal-oriented businesses create a forward-looking plan while managing the changing conditions of the tourism industry. Health insurance, which is always a hot topic in the field, is covered by Brian Blasé, CEO of Blasé Policy Strategies. Kevin Patterson, CEO of Connect for Health Colorado; and Chris McDowell, Executive Director / Valley Health Alliance.

Local real estate speakers include Andrew Ernemann, owner / broker of Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty; Randy Gold, partner in the Aspen Appraisal Group; and Karen Setterfield, President of Setterfield & Bright.

After the planned end of the forum at 10 a.m., breakout sessions will take place until noon. Sessions are free for ACRA members and $ 15 for non-members.

• • Individual health insurance agreementst (ICHRA), 10-11 a.m. – Learn more about ICHRA as an alternative to group health insurance. ICHRAs are a new, more cost-effective way to provide flexible and affordable health insurance coverage to employees.

Moderators include Brad O’Neill, co-founder of The ICHRA Shop; John Kelly, CEO of NexBen and an early adopter of ICHRA; Chris McDowell, executive director of the Valley Health Alliance; Joe Crosbie, Consultant, Mountain West Insurance; and Colin Laird, CEO, Third Street Center and ICHRA customer.

• • Tips and strategies for social marketing during and after the COVID-19 crisis, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Digital Marketing Strategies and Tips to Help Businesses Navigate the Waters of COVID-19. Learn how to leverage the various online tools available and develop valuable strategies that can help your business thrive both during and after the crisis.
