ZAGREB, May 29, 2021 – The Adriatic states are a rich tourist region, but they have a lot of untapped potential that should also be promoted outside of the short and intense season, announced participants in a regional tourism project in Subotica, Serbia on Saturday.

The landscape days in the Zasavica Special Nature Reserve near Sremska Mitrovica are part of the Adrilink project, which includes ten twin cities in seven Adriatic countries – Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania and Greece.

The project partners in Croatia are the municipality of Mošćenička Draga and the city of Vrsar.

“The aim is a shared vision of the landscape as the engine of the local development of the Mediterranean-Adriatic-Ionian economy. The project envisages the use of modern information and communication technologies to promote new destinations among tourists by making them more attractive and around Extend the season, “said Svetlana Sabo, member of the project team.

The Adrilink project will run from February 1, 2020 to July 31, 2022. One of its results should be a sustainable common strategy, new common travel routes and the linking of ten interpreting centers in the seven countries via an app and a digital platform.
