PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A number of glass collecting events will be held across the region.

Rich Fitzgerald, executive of Allegheny County, announced Thursday that the county has partnered with the Pennsylvania Resources Council to offer its glass recycling bin recycling program in eight of the county’s nine parks.

From Saturday, the glass recycling bin will be in every park from Saturday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Traveling Glass Recycling Bin Program offers a free recycling option with a trash can rotating through locations in western Pennsylvania.
