While you may not be on the go now, you have probably already dreamed of future vacations, whether it’s a family trip or a honeymoon.
“Travel is still one of the things our cardholders miss most right now, and it’s still a huge part of their lifestyle,” Audrey Hendley, president of American Express Travel, told CNBC Select.
In fact, more than 80% of consumers said that according to Amex Trendex, they regularly think about where they will go in the future. In keeping with the idea of travel, 80% of consumers have placed health and safety, flexibility, customer service and price among their top priorities when traveling.
With this in mind, American Express is adding new travel deals, resources and improved service to its Membership Rewards cards to help consumers save money and easily manage future travel arrangements.
“Our commitment evolves our offerings over time to make sure we’re relevant to customers and that we’re there when they’re ready to travel,” says Hendley.

New Amex travel offers
Travel offers for the Amex Platinum Card
Amex Platinum cardholders receive most of the benefits of a Membership Rewards card. How to offset the $ 550 annual fee (see prices and fees). Business Platinum card holders and American Express Centurion Card also receive some new perks. Here are the offers that you can expect.

Fine Hotels + Resorts free night offer
Members of the Consumer Platinum card receive a free night or credit when they book a qualifying stay at over 200 participating Fine Hotels + Resorts hotels through American Express Travel. Some offers are also repeatable, so you might get multiple free nights. The required booking and travel dates vary depending on the accommodation.

Discounts on domestic flights
Consumer and Business Platinum Card Members and Centurion Card members can access lower fares on select domestic routes and flights such as NYC to Fort Lauderdale and save up to 22% on the public fare. Enroll your card for the Marriott Bonvoy Amex offer for a one-time credit of $ 75 after spending a minimum of $ 250 on room rates and room charges at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels by December 31, 2020.
