Apple Hospitality’s 2020 Apple Awards are presented to five hotel employees for their exceptional hospitality and service during an incredibly difficult and turbulent year. These management company team members are ready and ready to get any job done. You have received numerous compliments from guests who have been helpful, welcoming, professional, caring, and empathetic. and they show leadership in small and large actions. They consistently go out of their way to make a positive impact in their hotels and inspire others to do the same.

Apple Hospitality’s 2020 Apple Awards recipients are:

  • Paula Gonzalez – Paula is the associate director of the Homewood Suites by Hilton and Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton in Clovis, California, managed by Dimension Development Company. Paula is ready to take on additional tasks across departments, and through her leadership has effectively trained the employees across the board and built a cohesive, efficient team. In an incredibly difficult year, she was a rock and morale champion, working countless hours, covering all departments when necessary, keeping staff well informed, making hotel staff increase demand, cultivating relationships with large customers, and takingovers new rules and procedures to ensure the health and safety of staff and guests.

  • Haiden Johnson – Haiden is the Front Desk Agent at the Courtyard by Marriott in Kirkland, Washington, which is managed by InnVentures. Haiden treats every guest request with sincere care and offers well thought-out and effective solutions through excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication. Haiden is an exemplary service that ensures that every guest is treated with the same consideration and patience. Over the past year, Haiden expanded his skills, took on additional responsibilities, and effectively communicated updated hotel policies and practices with his team.

  • Tom Loughran – Tom is the Chief Engineer at the Hyatt House and Hyatt Place in Tempe, Ariz., Managed by Crestline Hotels & Resorts, LLC. Tom was instrumental in the successful opening of the hotels in a particularly challenging time in August 2020. Tom is a beacon of strength and has shown the Tempe team that nothing is impossible.

  • Guadalupe Olea – Guadalupe serves as a room and suite employee at the Courtyard by Marriott in Santa Clarita, California, managed by Dimension Development Company. Guadalupe is energetic, always smiling, and treats every guest and employee as a family. It is known as the “heart of the hotel” and consistently supports guests and colleagues.

  • Serenthia Pettway – Serenthia is the Guest Service Representative at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Montgomery, Alabama, administered by LBA Hospitality. Serenthia is meticulous in her work and does everything to make every guest feel special right from the start by learning their preferences, responding to their wishes and recognizing special occasions. In 2020 Serenthia took numerous measures to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel. Additional tasks were taken on, from cleaning and laundry to coordinating breakfast and disinfecting entrances and public areas. Serenthia’s persistence and positive attitude even in difficult times has encouraged others.
