PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia and Mount Holly National Weather Service office is asking people to stay home as hundreds of water rescues are underway after the storm on Wednesday.

In a tweet on Wednesday night, the National Weather Service said that despite rising waters across the region, more people are driving into floods.

“Please, unless you have to travel, stay home tonight,” was part of the request.

We hear reports that crews are running out of resources to rescue people who are stuck in floods. People continue to drive in floods, resulting in hundreds of water rescues. Please stay home tonight if you live in NJ or PA unless you have to travel. #PAwx #NJwx
