Azamara Cruises, a small luxury cruise line based in Miami, Florida, today announced a world cruise billed as “All 7 Wonders of the World and More”. The global voyage, with its diverse itinerary and cultural highlights, offers guests an incomparable journey that focuses on an immersive experience on board the Azamara Onward ship.

The crossing comprises a total of 155 nights, including 22 overnight stays, 27 late stops, over 40 countries and 75 unique travel destinations. The shipping company markets this extensive sailing as “One Immersive Voyage”, given the scope of the voyage and the ability to “travel to more unique locations”.

The Azamara Onward is a boutique style ship that is much more intimate with a capacity of 704 passengers and 408 crew members. With its smaller size, it can access more “hidden” gems, the company notes, along with a personalized service.

The cruise line was sold by Royal Caribbean to Sycamore Partners in the first half of 2021 and now has 4 cruise lines with international routes that receive good passenger reviews.

The trip

The six-month cruise is divided into 10 sections, starting in Fort Lauderdale on January 5, 2024 and ending in Spain on June 9, 2024. Guests travel through Central and South America, parts of the South Pacific, New Zealand and Australia before moving to Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. There is an optional post-cruise extension in Europe with an additional 11-day tour of Spain and Portugal that ends in Southampton, England.

The cruise line offers a wide range of excursions, including multi-day and overnight stays, to provide guests with the ultimate experience, including all seven wonders of the world and other bucket-list destinations.

Highlights include crossing the Panama Canal, visiting Machu Picchu, Easter Island, the Galapagos, the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, the Great Pyramids of Egypt, Petra, the Suez Canal and the Colosseum. Longer stays and more overnight stays make for a more interactive and personal experience. This includes AzAmazing evenings held in historical locations to offer bespoke, unique experiences.

The 10 segments include:

  1. Carpet from Central America – Central and South America
  2. Pacific Mysteries – French Polynesia
  3. South Pacific explored – South Pacific and New Zealand
  4. Kiwis and Koala – New Zealand and Australia

  6. Vietnam and Thailand Pathways – also Singapore
