ELROSA — An eight-run explosion in the top of the fourth inning cemented a road win for Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa in non-conference baseball action on Saturday.
KMS, ranked third in Class A, came up with a 12-1 victory in five innings at Gumby Bauer Stadium.
Wylee Lottman had a strong outing at both the plate and the mound. He went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs. He also got the complete-game victory, striking out three and allowing just five hits and no walks.
Jared Cortez finished 1-for-3 with two runs and an RBI for KMS. Alex Call hit a double with two runs and two RBIs in the victory.
Blaine Fischer was the top hitter for the host Jaguars. He was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Easton Hagen also hit for a double, going 1-for-2 with a run scored.
The Fighting Saints host Renville County West on Monday. The Jaguars are host to Eden Valley-Watkins on Tuesday.

MACCRAY jumped on Renville County West early, securing a Camden Conference wiin in six innings at Sacred Heart.
Isaac Strommer, Ethan Strommer and Dreyer Homan were all 2-for-4 for the Wolverines. Isaac had two doubles, two runs and an RBI. Homan had a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Ethan scored a run in the victory. Brooks Asche pitched all six innings for MACCRAY, striking out eight to get the win.
Tyler Froland was 2-for-3 with a double for the Jaguars. Isaac Haen also finished 2-for-3.
