NEW ULM – The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce announced that Bob Beussman, who served as Mayor of New Ulm for over a decade, has received the highest accolade for Tourism Person of the Year. Mayor Bob’s passion and enthusiasm for the city of New Ulm has raised the profile of New Ulm as a must-see in the region.
The CVB committee received many nominations. Beussman was selected for his outstanding service and community engagement. The committee unanimously supported the nomination and is excited to celebrate his mayoral career.
The Tourism Mixer will also include park and recreation updates. Updates to local tourist destinations, including updated openings and hours.
Celebrate this great honor on May 7th at 6 p.m. at the Best Western Plus. Small starters are served. Tickets to the event can be purchased from the Chamber of Commerce, 1 N. Minnesota St., or at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/148267059767. Registration and advance sales are required due to COVID. Tickets are not sold at the door. The deadline for purchasing tickets is May 5th. The ticket price is USD 10.
