The Boone Police Department has asked parishioners not to travel unless necessary.
“Very slippery and dangerous road conditions in the entire districts of Watauga, Avery and Ashe,” the Boone police wrote on Facebook on January 3rd. “If you have to, please drive extremely carefully. Thank you very much and be sure. “
