Interesting tidbit from Boston Bruins winger Chris Wagner earlier this week when talking on the phone with Scott Zolak and Marc Bertrand on May 98 in the Sports Hub quick. Apparently, the Boston Bruins had to switch team hotel on Long Island in the middle of the second round against the Islanders after repeated fire alarms went off while the Bruins stayed in New York while they played Games 3 and 4 against the Islanders at the Nassau Coliseum.

Interesting little tidbit, said Chris Wagner @ZoandBertrand Today the Bruins had to change the team hotel on Long Island between Game 3/4 and Game 6 because “the fire alarm was probably triggered 6 times when we were there for the first time. We had enough of that. ”A bunch of wild Islanders fans

It’s a classic move that the New England Patriots’ opponents have cried about over the years while staying in the Boston area, from their rabid fans during the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The B’s fourth liner estimated that fire alarms “probably went off six times” during their first four-day stay in New York, so that was a deal for that particular hotel when they returned for game 6.

You’d think they originally stayed at the Long Island Marriott, a website they’d stayed on in the past while playing the Islanders in Uniondale, which is in the parking lot of the soon-to-be-vacated Coli, but there was no confirmation from Wagner, which hotel they had problems with during their first playoff trip to New York.

In any case, the Islanders madmen certainly live up to their reputation as a team preparing for Do-or-Die game 6 at the Colosseum on Wednesday evening.
