AITKIN – The Perham boys basketball team opened their 2022-23 season against the Aitkin Gobblers last Friday night.

The Yellowjackets walked away with an easy 84-32 win over the Gobblers behind three double-digit scorers.

Perham’s Soren Anderson, Mchah Thompson and Jacob McDaniels all scored 15 or more points. Anderson was the top scorer who finished with 25 points on 9-for-18 shooting. Anderson also added five rebounds and five assists. Thompson and McDaniels both finished with 15 points. Thompson finished as the team’s top rebounder with seven. Daniels added three assists, two rebounds and a steal.

Perham allowed only 15 first-half points and 17 more in the second half. The Yellowjackets forced 16 Gobber turnovers while only committing three.
