WEST UNITY – Three Edon players scored double digits on Saturday as the Bombers defeated Hilltop 65-38 in a non-league basketball game between rivals Buckeye Border Conference at Hilltop High School.

Drew Gallehue (20 points), Jack Berry (16) and Caden Nester (12) led the ranking for Edon (6-4). The bombers were leading 28:19 at halftime and used a 23:14 advantage in the third quarter to double their lead.

Ian Hoffman struck off four 3-pointers and scored 18 points ahead of the Cadets (1-8). Anthony Eckenrode added 13 points.

DELTA – Stryker built a 15-4 lead after quarterly, 35-15 after three quarters, and a 45-32 win over Delta on Saturday in a boys’ basketball game that was off conference at Delta High School.

Elijah Juillard scored 12 of his best 14 points (5-7) in the second half for Stryker. Peyton Cioffi added 10 points, Teyvon Harris eight and Jacob Cadwell seven.

Nolan Risner led Delta (3-5) with 10 points.

Montpelier beats Hamilton

HAMILTON, Indiana – Montpelier’s boys basketball team finished eight-game losing streak with a 60-20 non-league win over Hamilton, Indiana, on Saturday at Hamilton High School.
