CanNor is investing over $ 375,000 to help renovate the soon-to-be-relocated Yellowknife Visitor Center

Federal government supports tourist infrastructure in Yellowknife, NWT

Today, Michael McLeod, Member of Parliament for the Northwest Territories, on behalf of the Honorable Mélanie Joly, Minister for Economic Development and Languages ​​and Minister responsible for CanNor, announced an investment of over $ 375,000 to award a two-year Yellowknife renovation project support soon relocated visitor center.

The renovation will improve the visitor experience and ensure accessibility to the new Center Square Mall in downtown Yellowknife. The Yellowknife Visitor Center is a tourist hub and is often the base for visitors exploring Yellowknife, NWT’s north slave region and beyond. The new central location in downtown Yellowknife will also support the city’s economic development.
