An eight-member delegation from the Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) under the leadership of its President Latif A Bhat called on the Director of Kashmiri Tourism, Dr. GN Itoo to discuss various issues related to the tourism industry.

In a statement, the CCIK said members congratulated Itoo on taking responsibility for Kashmir tourism. “Thoughts and notes were exchanged with the tourism director on issues such as allowing repairs and renovations in Srinagar (boulevard), Pahalgam and Gulmarg, reducing the sanitary fee given the near-lack of visitors and renovating registrations at the tourism department. Be friendly and straightforward , remember to take care of infrastructural deficiencies in newly developed travel destinations, represent the CCIK on the tourism advisory board whenever it is formed, and provide public amenities in various touristic interesting areas and kindly eliminate the delay in getting building permits for Young people interested in developing themselves in the tourism sector, especially in the proposed hut area in Sonamarg-Kashmir, ”the statement said.
