Recently, the Queen City hosted the NBA All-Star Game, the Democratic National Convention, and the Republican National Convention.

Trying to continue the positive trend is difficult because hotels do not have enough staff to handle many visitors to the city.
In the Mecklenburg district alone, hotels need 10,000 hotel employees.
