Costa Cruises is updating its programs for 2022-23: New Costa Venezia cruises to Turkey and Costa Toscana cruises in the Mediterranean from March 2022

A big innovation for the 2022/2023 season: from May 2022, Costa Venezia will be offering cruises from Istanbul to discover Turkey and Greece, and in winter Turkey, Egypt, Israel and Cyprus.

The new “green” flagship Costa Toscana will go into service in March 2022 in the Mediterranean Sea.

Genoa, September 20, 2021 – Costa cruises Announces some major updates related to its 2022-23 programs, affecting two of the newest and most innovative ships in its fleet: the Venice coast, which entered service in 2019, and the Tuscany coast, currently under construction.

From May 2022 Venice coast will offer cruises Turkeyto walk away from Istanbul, an absolute and exclusive innovation. Costa Venezia will further strengthen Costa’s offer in the Mediterranean area, from where it will also operate Costa Toscana March 2022.

“In anticipation of the return of cruises to Asia, we decided to bring Costa Venezia back to the Mediterranean to offer a truly unique, unprecedented cruise program that will only be available from Costa. In line with our plan to gradually resume operations, we have also decided to postpone the commissioning of our new flagship Costa Toscana until March 2022 “- explained Roberto Alberti, Costa Cruises Chief Commercial Officer.

The new program of Costa Venezia in Turkey includes three different itineraries, all with embarkation and disembarkation in Istanbul. They are designed to allow longer stops at the ports that allow guests to enjoy some of the finest experiences of any destination, visiting historic cities, ancient ruins, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and beautiful beaches.

From May 1 to November 13, 2022, Costa Venezia is offering two week-long travel routes for Turkey and Greece, which can also be combined into a single 15-day “super tour” with 8 or more port calls than 10 hours. The first itinerary includes a two-day stopover for one night in Istanbul, the beautiful Turkish destinations Izmir and Bodrum, the island of Mykonos and Athens in Greece. The second itinerary includes two two-day overnight stops in Istanbul and Kusadasi, Turkey, before exploring Rhodes and Heraklion, Greece. In the winter of 2022-23, Costa Venezia is offering a third 12-day itinerary in Turkey, Egypt, Israel and Cyprus, the Istanbul with a stopover of two days and one night, Bodrum, Limassol, Haifa, again with a stopover of two Days and one night, Alexandria in Egypt and Kusadasi.

Developed for Costa Venezia Cruises, the shore excursion portfolio enables guests to have special experiences that will be remembered, such as Ephesus at night with a private concert in a Roman amphitheater admiring the night lights of the Bosphorus, sleeping in houses, into the rocks in the lunar landscapes of Cappadocia, discover the natural pools of Pamukkale, but also the Parthenon in Athens, the beaches of Mykonos and Rhodes, Bethlehem and Jerusalem.

The new travel routes of Costa Venezia, which include “flight & cruise” packages from all major European countries, will be bookable from the first half of October.

The new flagship Costa Toscana, the second LNG-powered ship of the Costa brand, will be delivered on schedule in December 2021 and put into service on March 5, 2022. The itinerary offered by the ship from this date remains unchanged with one-week cruises in the western Mediterranean visiting Savona, Marseille, Barcelona, ​​Valencia, Palermo, Civitavecchia / Rome. The Costa Toscana cruises originally planned from December 18, 2021 to the beginning of March 2022 will instead be operated by Costa Luminosa, which will therefore cancel its program of long winter cruises in the Mediterranean due to the restrictions currently in force in Israel. The company is currently informing guests and travel agents who are affected by these changes.
