From Deering Estate, birdwatching of Biscayne National Park on this new three-hour tour while guided by a Deering Estate naturalist. You’ll travel across Biscayne Bay to places like Fowey Rocks, Soldier Key, and Boca Chita in search of the different species of birds that can be found in Biscayne National Park. During this trip, you will learn all about the species and their role in Biscayne’s ecosystems.

This experience is only offered on one Saturday per month. Reservations are required for this tour.

The tour makes every attempt to get as close as possible to the Fowey Rocks lighthouse. However, weather and sea conditions will determine how close the ship can get to this lighthouse, while still providing you with a safe and enjoyable experience.

Each guided tour lasts approximately three hours and includes the chance to explore and learn about popular and scenic Boca Chita Key and Biscayne Bay. You can explore the island and hike the trail. The staff will also introduce you to the history of the park and explain why mangroves, seagrass, and hardwood hammock habitats are vital to the health of local ecosystems. Please note that Boca Chita Lighthouse will be closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

After exiting Deering Estate, a Biscayne National Park ranger will take you on a journey through Biscayne Bay to see the famous Cape Florida lighthouses, Fowey Rocks, and Boca Chita and learn the history that surrounds them. You’ll traverse seductive Stiltsville and head to Boca Chita Key to approach the iconic Boca Chita Lighthouse in Biscayne National Park. You may also get the chance to spot wildlife such as dolphins, sea turtles, and many land birds.

From the Deering Estate, travel through the northernmost parts of Biscayne National Park to the alluring Stiltsville Houses and learn about the rich history of this area of ​​Miami and Biscayne National Park.

Get an up-close look at the village on the bay on the Stiltsville tours. Stiltsville is a reminder of the time when this area was known as a playground for the rich. On this boat you can also experience what draws people to these legendary waters. This is an experience that the whole family will enjoy.

These tours depart from the Deering Estate at 16701 SW 72 Ave. in Palmetto Bay.
