Cruise ship retailer Harding has announced the extension of its contract with P&O Cruises and the luxury cruise brand Cunard until 2027.

The company announced that its in-house design team will continue to work with the design teams and architects from P&O Cruises and Cunard to design, manage and build entire retail environments for the Iona retail spaces. “

“This is a real milestone in Harding’s history and I am pleased to confirm our partnership with Carnival UK at both P&O Cruises and Cunard,” said James Prescott, Managing Director of Harding. “We worked closely with the senior teams at Carnival House, Southampton to deliver the most commercial arrangement and the best products with the right experiences for the customer and destination. We are delighted that Carnival Corporation has placed their trust in Harding here in the UK. “

According to a press release, the contract for P&O Cruises includes two new flagships in addition to the three existing ships; The Iona will start in May 2020 and its sister ship will start in 2022. For Cunard, the contract includes the new ship arriving in 2022.

The contract is based on a 20-year collaboration between Harding and its cruise partners and includes eight P&O Cruises and Cunard ships on more than 6,000 m² of retail space.

Harding said it will offer Carnival UK’s two cruise lines “an impressive mix of tax and duty-free product categories, from fine jewelry and fine watches to private label fashion fused with lifestyle and experimental activities.”

Retail support will include a wide range of well-known global brands, from Dyson and Apple to Jo Malone and Tom Ford, Harding wrote. On board the Iona alone, an “impressive list of the first-at-seas” is published, including Liberty of London, The White Company and Georg Jensen. Mulberry is also opening its own first-at-sea store.

Robert Palmer, Vice President On Board Revenue at Carnival UK, said the cruise line is “pleased” to have signed this deal with Harding.

“Working with one of the leaders in cruise retail to build a strong commercial and branded retail partnership as we enter an unprecedented period of new fleet launches for both our P&O Cruises and Cunard brands is an inspiring milestone … Harding has Shown They Are Agile Predicting and mirroring changes in land-based retail at the brand and experience level for our guests at sea is without a doubt the best and most inspiring retail vacation experience for our guests, ”he said.

“We look forward to continuing to work with the Harding team for the months and years to come,” he added.
