World Travel Holdings is merging its independent contractor model of Cruises Inc. into its CruiseOne / Dream Vacations franchise business.
From 2022 the company will operate a franchise unit under the CruiseOne and Dream Vacations brands. Cruises Inc. agents can either open their own CruiseOne or dream holiday Travel agency franchise, or you can join an existing franchise as a partner and thus create a host option within the model. The CruiseOne / Dream Vacations headquarters team will assist agents in transitioning to franchise ownership or finding a franchise to join as an independent contractor.

“Our business-to-business space has grown exponentially and is the fastest growing division of World Travel Holdings; we want to double that success, ”said Debbie Fiorino, senior vice president and chief operating officer of World Travel Holdings’ Owned Brands. “We are constantly evaluating how we can better support our agent network in order to become even more successful; In fact, the whole premise of this merger and everything we do is to increase the wealth of our customers, and our customer is our network of travel agents. “
After the merger, Cruises Inc. agents who become Associates will continue to enjoy the same benefits as an independent hosting agency contractor and access to more Marketing programs and technology. They also have a built-in mentor in their franchise owner.

A Cruises Inc. consultant welcomed the change.

The company said it still owns the Cruises Inc. name, but it’s not in use. The brand is expected to fully expire by mid-February 2022 when Cruises Inc.’s existing independent contractors transition to or partner with a franchise.
