SPOKANE, Wash – While Washington has been in more than a year of COVID-19 restrictions, Spokane’s Davenport Hotels are hiring more than 100 people to fill positions.

The Davenport operates the Historic Davenport, Davenport Grand, Davenport Tower, Davenport Lusso, and the Centennial Hotel.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the hotel group announced that it was now open without restrictions and could work fully in the hotels, restaurants, weddings, events as well as in the spa and salon as soon as it could employ and train enough people.

“While we are hiring and training as soon as possible, we will keep our customers and guests updated on the available accommodations and amenities in Davenport,” the post stated. “Our priority is to provide the Spokane community and all of our guests with the signature Davenport hospitality for which we have been known for over 100 years.”

According to the Washington Hospitality Association, the hospitality industry is short of 80,000 workers.
