Deputy Tourism Minister Savvas Perdios will be traveling to London and Moscow in the coming days to encourage the arrival of tourists from Cyprus’ two largest markets.

Perdios will lead a delegation that will visit these two capitals for contacts.

“The current epidemiological picture of Cyprus and its vaccination program will be explained, while at the same time possibilities of an immediate solution to all the pending problems related to the arrival of tourists from the UK and Russia to Cyprus from the UK and Russia will be examined,” the official statement said.

The focus will be on immigration protocols to build the confidence and safety of travelers, tour operators, airlines and all other stakeholders in the sector.

Perdios will also travel to Athens to attend a summit of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Commission on Europe.

During his stay in Athens, Perdios will have the opportunity to discuss ways with his colleagues to address the major challenges of the pandemic in the tourism sector.
