Expensify cardholders have the option to reserve air travel, accommodation and rental cars by chatting with a concierge on the expense management company’s platform. All reservations come with Global Rescue services and warnings in addition to the safety kits, the press release says.
Users making reservations through Concierge Travel will have access to a full suite of Global Rescue services, including security and medical advice, emergency transportation to a traveler’s choice of medical facility, and on-site rescue. Those visiting other countries can receive a targeting report that includes location information, safety and wellness ratings, and requirements for entering and leaving the nation they are visiting.
In addition, administrators can find trip summary reports to keep them informed of the time and location of employee trips.
Expensify founder and CEO David Barrett The press release said: “While most of us currently avoid travel, there are still key employees whose trips cannot be canceled or postponed. We want to help you travel as safely as possible. With Concierge Travel, your free Global Rescue membership offers world-class security and medical services. “
Barrett noted that Concierge Travel learns a user’s airline and seat preferences while also making another reservation for missed or canceled flights. In addition, travel managers can set star ratings for accommodation providers and tariff classes for air travel, among other things. The concierge will then make a reservation based on company guidelines.
In October, Expensify debuted in Expensify Cardthat is built into its technology. Companies can make the cards available to their employees who can make purchases on behalf of the company. Every transaction on the card is carried over into Expensify technology to automate the creation of receipts, expense reports and expense breakdowns.
