Fall has arrived and it’s time to explore all of the fun Long Island has to offer. For those looking for a quick weekend getaway, spend the night at the Garden City Hotel and enjoy a meal in the Red Salt Room or catch a show at the Stephen Talkhouse and stay at The Roundtree in Amagansett. From the East End to Fire Island and in between, here are five local hotels and inns with this season deals and area activities.

EAST END

This 15 room boutique hotel is among the many dining and shopping options along Main Street in Amagansett. Music lovers can stop by Stephen Talkhouse (161 Hauptstr., 631-267-3117, stephentalkhouse.com), a live music venue nearby. The talkhouse stage is adjacent to the dance floor, so guests are only a few centimeters away from the action when they see a show here. Performances planned for autumn include Jackie Greene (Oct. 16) and Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams (November 12th).
