Two hospitality experts have announced the launch of a start-up incubator designed to inspire and accelerate change in the industry.

KUBE Ventures will be presented to the world at the Arabian and African Hospitality Investment Conference in Dubai (AHIC) in this week.

Founded by Michael Levie and David Keen, KUBE will work with hospitality startups to ensure that the next generation of the industry operates in harmony with the most dynamic industries worldwide.

Throughout his career, Levie has worked for hotel groups such as Sonesta International Hotels Corporation and NH Hotels. He is also a founding partner and COO at citizenM Hotels.

About his new company, he said: “We want to give something back to the hotel industry. All of our shareholders have come together with a clear goal. We want to catalyze transformation: be it in technology, in operations or in human resources. “

Keen is brand strategist and CEO of the brand and communication agency QUO. He added, “The moment is now. The post-pandemic period offers extraordinary opportunities. Our goal is to exploit the potential of our industry and to bring it to eye level with the most dynamic industries and organizations in the world. ”

In addition to Levie and Keen, KUBE has some of the world’s leading entrepreneurs and disruptors on board, all of whom share the values of the founders and are fundamentally transforming the industry.

The overall mission of KUBE Ventures is supported by KUBE Circle and KUBE Conscience.

The KUBE Circle brings together executives, veterans and visionaries of the hotel industry to form a global think tank for knowledge exchange, education and networking.

KUBE Conscience is a board that acts as the governing body for KUBE Ventures and measures the values and potential of each company.

Levie and Keen will be at AHIC today (Monday, September 20) to discuss with the CEO of Kerten Hospitality Marloes Knippenberg. At 4 p.m. they will take the stage for a lecture entitled “How do we promote transformation and change in hospitality”.

In an interview with hotelier, Keen said: “I couldn’t be more proud to present KUBE here in Dubai at AHIC. The region is also home to the future of tourism in Saudi Arabia. The talent and power of what will happen there in the next five to ten years could not even be imagined beforehand. ”
