Rumor has it that Cam Reddish of the Atlanta Hawks may be one of the players Atlanta is looking for Move at the NBA close of trading. It is questionable why the Hawks would get rid of a 22-year-old who has shown that he can be an elite defender and also a quality scorer in this league. He had some problems staying healthy during his young career, but he was still able to score 11.1 points per game while playing more than just a viable defense.

It has been reported that Atlanta is only open to trading with Reddish for only one first round pick. Many teams have choices for the first round, so anyone who does this should be on the phone and calling to Atlanta. He’s also Well of a player only having to forego a first-round pick. There has to be something behind closed doors that nobody knows about, because Atlanta should never want to trade someone of this caliber for little to no return.

There are some teams that he would be perfect with. Be it that he comes in and makes an immediate impact or moves to a team in which he can fully develop and become the star he has the potential to be. Lots of teams will be calling to Atlanta, so let’s take a look at four teams that should be picking up the phone and trying to close a deal for Cam Reddish.

Cam Reddish NBA Trading Deadline

4. Milwaukee Bucks

Cam Reddish for Donte DiVincenzo would be a perfect scenario for both teams. DiVincenzo found a replacement in Milwaukee in Grayson Allen, but Milwaukee could still use someone who can defend at a high level for multiple positions on the pitch. DiVincenzo is an incredible defender, but he only guards positions 1-3, while Reddish offers a 6-foot-8 height and 7-foot 11 wingspan that can protect anywhere from position 1 to 5.

The Hawks could use DiVincenzo too, because he would be someone who can step in and defend his high-level guard positions, which is what they desperately need. Both sides would benefit from this deal and it wouldn’t be shocking to see them make a swap. If Atlanta just wants a draft pick back, Reddish wouldn’t be a thing after Milwaukee because the Bucks don’t have many draft picks in the next five or so years.

3. Oklahoma City thunder

While the Oklahoma City Thunder may not be able to compete anytime soon, taking on a player like Reddish could be just what they need. You surely have enough first-round picks to toss to the Hawks when they want to make a move. This could also be the perfect scenario for him to develop his game into the star he has the potential to become. Putting him next to guys like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey could be perfect for him. It also fits exactly what you need because it is only 22 years old. A team that is going through a remodel like the Thunder should always bring a player into play who could speed up the process.

The reality is that Oklahoma City is unlikely to find a guy as good as Cam Reddish in any of its next drafts. It would make sense if they swapped any of the many first-round picks they have and hit the deal with the Hawks.

2. Brooklyn Nets

Again, this would have to be a player-by-player trade as the Brooklyn Nets don’t have many draft picks to use as a trading asset. The Nets clearly need help on the defensive side of the ball and Cam Reddish could be perfect for this team. He has shown that he can defend at a high level and in the playoffs that will be the main concern for this Nets team.

Brooklyn still doesn’t have someone who can hold a guy like Giannis Antetokounmpo in check, and like the Chicago Bulls have been playing lately, so do DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine. Reddish might be the perfect guy for that and Brooklyn should consider adding the young talented striker.

1. Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers could be good for both sides. Cam Reddish would be able to play alongside future Hall of Famers and develop faster than anywhere else. Playing with guys like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Dwight Howard, and many other Lakers veterans will always be a great thing for a young gamer’s future.

It could also benefit the Lakers because he’s young and they desperately need someone to come in and play more than 30 minutes a night. He would allow some of the other guys not to put as much strain on their bodies before the playoffs.
