The aim is to expand the focus on Apple products. The retailer announced Today, it will open “Apple Shopping Destination” experiences in retail stores in the US while redesigning the experience of purchasing Apple products from the Target website.

Here’s how Target describes Apple’s new shopping destinations in its retail stores:

The new shopping destination provides an even easier way to purchase Apple products from Target by bringing those products and accessories together in one room where guests can learn about new products through demonstrations and knowledgeable Target Tech advisors who receive specialized training Apple.

The picture above shows the new Apple shopping experience in the Target Stores. As you can see, it shares design similarities to Apple’s own retail stores with bright lighting and product displays. It is also similar to the experience currently available at many Best Buy locations.

The new Apple shopping features will be rolled out in 17 Target stores this month. The retailer plans to expand to additional locations later in 2021.

In addition to the new physical retail experience, Target is also redesigning the online shopping experience for Apple products. The new Apple Storefront is live today on the Target website, and all Apple products are brought together in one place with details on pricing, warranties, and more.

In a statement too CNBCApple looks forward to “continuing to work with Target on exciting new ways to serve customers in-store and online.”

Target does not currently sell Mac computers in-store or online. It doesn’t seem that this will change under this new partnership. Target continues to focus on products such as the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and HomePod mini.
