HONOLULU (KHON2) – The Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) announced Thursday, June 10th that its Tourism Research Division has launched a new interactive tool that provides a quick look at tourism insights and data.

The tool includes visitor statistics, Hawaii hotel reports, Hawaii vacation rental performance reports, Hawaii quarterly timeshare surveys, and geolocation data.

There are also overview dashboards for Hawaii and island maps for Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island.

These new dashboards provide a wealth of valuable information at state and county level, which is particularly needed at this time when HTA is intensifying its destination management efforts.

The Hawaiian tourism industry is launching a campaign aimed at “mindful travelers” when more visitors arrive

The overview dashboards also show important visitor statistics, market shares according to origin markets and a top ten ranking of the international and national markets.

The location data company “UM” was contacted by HTA to collect information for the dashboards through geolocation data on smartphones. The data is anonymous and cannot be used to track individual users or devices.
