GAYLORD, MI – A new hotel opens in Gaylord, a northern Michigan tourist destination known for its golf courses, moose watching and ski resorts.

The four-story Tru by Hilton is open at 1048 W. Main St. in Gaylord. It features an indoor pool, 24-hour fitness center, billiards, and other entertainment options.

“We’re excited to bring this fun and modern Hilton brand, Tru, to the Gaylord community,” said Nicole Echols, Sales Director at Namora Hotels. “Gaylord is a wonderful community that draws tourists from far and wide, and we believe the Tru will be a fantastic option for families and business people visiting Gaylord or doing business.”

This is the second hotel for Namora Hotels, a Bloomfield Hills-based hotel ownership and management company.

Tru has smaller, efficiently designed rooms with “comfortable beds” and mobile desks. The bathrooms are large and equipped with first class amenities. A hot breakfast bar is available to guests. The 2,880 square meter lobby includes a 24-hour snack market and serves as a meeting point with space to work, play and eat. The hotel has modern features such as mobile check-in, tablets in the lobby and a variety of electrical outlets.
