KATHMANDU: The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Bhanubhakta Dhakal, expressed the hope that the Holi Festival, also called Fagu Poornima, would promote mutual harmony and intimacy among people in Nepalese society.

Minister Dhakal gave a message of best wishes today on the occasion of Fagu Poornima, saying the festival will also promote fraternity and contribute to national unity.

The minister drew people’s attention to compliance with health and safety standards while celebrating the Holi festival, given the Covid-19 threat still prevalent in the country.

In the message he mentioned that Holi, the festival of colors, is marked as a symbol of the victory of truth.

“The festival is being watched with particular enthusiasm and fanfare in the hilly region and in the Terai region today,” he said, taking the opportunity to express best wishes to all the Nepalese sisters and brothers.
