Hong Kong could soon approve “nowhere cruises,” which operate under strict health and safety protocols and open to vaccinated residents several local news reports.
Trade and Economic Development Secretary Edward Yau Tang-wah said the government will soon end talks with cruise lines to set policies and procedures.
Genting Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean International are now on the program at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal in Hong Kong in 2021. The Genting Dream and Ovation of the Seas are said to have been sailing in Alaska since then. It is believed that the Ovation will be replaced by another Royal Caribbean ship in the event of a possible restart in Hong Kong.
Both ships are no strangers to Hong Kong as both were positioned in the Asian market.
