Bain & Company appoints its first Chief Diversity Officer

Bain & Company recently appointed Julie Coffman, a Chicago-based partner, as the first Chief Diversity Officer (CDO).

Coffman led the foundation and serves as the global director of Bain’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) practice. She works with her clients to define and advance their own DEI strategies and efforts. She has long been a leader in Bain’s organizational practice.

She was also the founding chair of Bain’s Global Womxn Leadership Council, which is focused on developing and supporting Bains Womxn and increasing representation in Bain’s leadership roles. Since June she has headed Bains America’s DEI Transformation Office, which aims to embed racial and social justice into the structure of the company and ultimately improve Bains game as an employer and company.

In addition, Coffman is a member of the Chicago Network of Women Business Leaders and a member of Wesleyan University’s Athletic Advisory Council. She holds an MA in Education Administration and an MBA from Stanford University, where she was recognized as an Arjay Miller Fellow.

Robertson is a seasoned executive who worked for VMWare in the APAC region for the past 14 years prior to joining Snowflake. Most recently, he was President of VMWare Japan KK and was responsible for all aspects of virtualization, the digital workplace and the cloud business in Japan.

Before that he was General Manager at VMWare ASEAN from 2012 to 2015 and from 2007 Area Vice President at VMWare Japan KK. During his tenure at VMWare, Robertson was involved in strategic planning, business development and customer loyalty. They play an important role in growing the company to its current status as the billion dollar leader in the cloud market.

During his career, Jon also held senior sales and field management positions at EMC, SAP and M3i in Japan and the APJ markets. He is fluent in Japanese, French and English and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Anna Wong takes on the role of HR manager for Asia at FCM Travel Solutions

Early in her career, Wong spent seven years with Accor in Australia where she was responsible for recruiting, talent management, compensation and performance, employee engagement and corporate social responsibility. In 2017 she moved to China and switched to FCM. Since then she has been instrumental in developing and implementing FCM’s corporate culture in mainland China and Hong Kong, before recently becoming FCM’s Human Resources Director.

Known for her passion for developing the role of women employees and leaders in the workplace, Wong currently leads the Womenwise chapter for FCM in Asia.
