WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A new lifeline for the homeless in Wichita opens next week. HumanKind Ministries is complete Renovation of the former 316 Hotel on North Broadway.

The facility with 54 residential units, “The Studios at HumanKInd”, was specially developed to help homeless people in the city to find permanent housing.

“The only criteria to get into the studios is that people must be homeless before entry,” said Matt Lowe of HumanKind Ministries. “We receive recommendations from numerous community providers, the Homeless Outreach Team, the Breakthrough Club, the Salvation Army.”

In the complex, each resident receives a fully furnished studio apartment.
