The newly signed property will be IHG’s fifth hotel with the Pelligra Group

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed Holiday Inn Dandenong with the hotel owners, the Pelligra Group, confirming its presence in the suburb and in the Victoria region. The newly signed property will join the 42 Holiday Inn branded family hotels open or in the pipeline in Australasia and the Pacific.

This will be the fifth IHG hotel with the Pelligra Group. Other hotels include the Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport, the newly opened Holiday Inn Werribee and the upcoming Holiday Inn Melbourne Richmond and the Crowne Plaza Melbourne Carlton. The former Ramada Encore by Wyndham Dandenong will open in April 2022.

“The Holiday Inn brand has undergone a tremendous global transformation in the past 18 months, introducing a next generation design that attracts leisure and business travelers and accelerates the brand’s growth in the region. This will be our fifth hotel in the Pelligra Group and we are honored to work with the team again to bring this completely renovated Holiday Inn to the Dandenong community and build our network in Victoria, ”said Jael Fischer, Director of Development for Australasia & Pacific, IHG.

“We love working with the IHG team and look forward to building on our partnership with them. The location of this hotel brought us to the property; right across from the city’s main shopping center and just a few meters from Dandenong’s major revitalization project. The association of the internationally recognized Holiday Inn brand with our hotel will be of great benefit when domestic and international trips return, and we are proud to continue our partnership with IHG, “said Ross Pelligra, Chairman of Pelligra Group.
