SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Indiana Wesleyan volleyball kicked off Tuesday with the NAIA National Championship Pool Play and swept Rocky Mountain College, Mont. In straight sets.
WHAT HAPPENED
- IWU took a quick 17: 5 lead in the first set to hit 0.333 while RMC hit 0.071. The IWU hit over 0.300 in all three sets with an average of 0.341 in three sets.
- RMC hit .448 in the third set, making it number 1 in the match.
- Martina Demarchi scored a match high of 15 kills with Ana collar Collecting 14 and Marci Müller total 10.
- Collar was the front runner for the wildcats with a percentage of 0.379 hits, and Marci Müller second best with .375.
- Olivia Zawadski started the NAIA Pool Play with a bang, collecting 47 assists and bringing her championship to 89 in two games, the top of the NAIA.

- I felt like the team was prepared and ready to start the tournament! It was a team effort! I’m looking forward to the next match and the girls’ fight !!
NEXT TIME
- IWU will play Midland (Neb.) Tomorrow at 1 p.m. EST. A win secures a place in the quarterfinals of the NAIA National Championship.
