Since the travel industry continues to struggle with that COVID-19 Pandemic, Impact Travel Alliance (ITA), a global community for socially and environmentally conscious travelers, calls on its network to actively participate in building a better industry.

ITA, an independent 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization with 25+ local departments in cities around the world, will face four challenges for their community during the course of 2021: February, April, September and November. Each month-long campaign focuses on a thematic theme – diversity and inclusion, protecting our planet, helping locals and engaging with sustainability – and encourages travelers to take a specific, measurable action that drives long-term change.

“The challenges focus on some of the biggest problems the travel industry is facing today, pandemic or not,” said ITA founder and CEO Kelley Louise said in a press release. “We see these issues as an important opportunity for travelers to campaign for change.”
