Hotel Lulu, Anaheim’s newest hotel just steps from Disneyland, is proud to announce the appointment of John Chan as Hotel Manager. John brings over twenty years of hotel experience and a true passion for hospitality to this quintessentially California hotel.

John joined the hospitality industry as a PBX operator during college with a Japanese hotel brand in downtown Los Angeles. He then worked his way up to various positions in revenue and operations management at hotels in the Los Angeles area, including Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites, DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown; Embassy Suites by Hilton Los Angeles, Glendale; and the Westin South Coast Plaza. Before joining Hotel Lulu, John was Manager of Project Management at ICO Group Companies, a Los Angeles real estate development and management company, where he ensured the successful operation of multi-family and commercial projects.

In addition to driving the Hotel Lulu’s strategic revenue growth, John is passionate about promoting the hotel as the premier tourist and recreational destination close to Disneyland Park and surrounding Anaheim attractions. Its aim is that all areas of the hotel environment function smoothly and work together successfully. Originally from Nagoya, Japan, John graduated from California State Polytechnic University with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. His external passions include motorcycling, driving fast cars and watching football. He currently resides in Glendora, California with his wife, Angela, and three children.

Stacey Washburn – Director of Sales and Marketing

October 22, 2020 – As Director of Sales & Marketing, Washburn played a key role in opening the hotel this summer, leading the sales and marketing team and overseeing all sales and distribution management. After completing her Masters of Arts in Marketing Communications from Emerson College, Washburn spent 10 years in various sales and marketing roles at industry leaders including Marriott International, including Sales Manager, Western Mountain Pacific; Sales Manager, Marin County and Emeryville; and deputy head of room operations.
