Thiruvananthapuram: In another easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the Kerala government has given permission to eat in hotels and bars. Only fully vaccinated people are allowed to eat in the hotels.

The decision was made at the COVID review meeting chaired by Prime Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here on Saturday.

Eating in hotels was no longer allowed in the state after the second COVID-19.

According to the decision, hotels are allowed to offer the dining room with 50 percent of the seating capacity. In addition, bar hotels are also approved for in-dining.

The operation of indoor stadiums and swimming pools is also permitted. Only fully vaccinated employees are allowed to work in hotels, bars and other facilities.

Although only those who have taken two doses of the COVID vaccine are allowed to eat in restaurants, those under the age of 18 are exempt from this rule.

Hotels and bars need to arrange the seating arrangement so that there is a reasonable amount of space between each seat. According to the guideline, AC should not be used in hotels and bars. Doors and windows must remain open.

Meanwhile, the prime minister stated that no decision had been taken to reopen theaters in the state.
