The Kimpton Harper Hotel, signed by Forchielli Glynn’s designer Cynthia Forchielli, will open in June 2021 in a historic building in Fort Worth, Texas.

The conclusion of this reinterpretation of a property built in 1921The hotel is just steps from Sundance Square Plaza and coincides with its 100th anniversary.

The transformation of a landmark

The Memphis-based Development Services Group oversaw the remodeling of this building following the acquisition of XTO Energy. The architectural landmark was originally built as the headquarters of the Farmer’s and Mechanics Bank.

In its new era as a hotel, the hotel is managed by Pivot, the lifestyle operationally vertical from Davidson Hospitality Group.

Cynthia Forchielli of Forchielli Glynn The 226 rooms and suites have been designed with relaxed sophistication in mind, and outfitted with handcrafted furniture and local art. There are subtle references to Fort Worth as well, not least the panther figures in the closets that reference the nickname Panther City.

Space to get to know each other, work and relax

Indeed, the on-site accommodation is well-designed with thoughtful design details and luxurious amenities, including Frette linens, Atelier Bloem bath products, bluetooth speaker systems, and plush bathrobes. The 31 suites also offer bathtubs, wet bars, and views of downtown Fort Worth and the surrounding plains. During their stay, guests can take advantage of the 24-hour check-in, free tea and coffee, a sociable hour in the living room lobby, and the fitness center with quality equipment such as Peloton bikes.

Contemporary Italian cuisine is served at Il Modo. Dishes such as homemade pasta and pizza from the wood-fired oven are made with seasonality and sustainability in mind. The elaborate wine list is complemented by cocktails based on Italian classics, and private dining and pasta-making courses are offered. In addition to this dining experience, the hotel’s penthouse whiskey bar and cocktail lounge, Refinery 714, offers drinks and fine bites with breathtaking views from above on the 24th floor. This room also houses a private dining room.

Finally, the Sanquinet Boardroom on the 24th floor and the Centurion Ballroom on the 2nd floor, together with conference rooms and rooms for all kinds of meetings, form the hotel’s 10,000 square meter event space.

The Kimpton Harper Hotel will debut in early June 2021.
