LSU football is one of the potential landing sites for 2021 four-star safety Kendal Daniels, according to 247Sports.

Daniels, 6-foot-4/190 lbs. From Beggs, OK (Beggs), is ranked the number 5 safety in the country on 247Sports’ composite rankings.

The Oklahoma native originally signed with Texas A&M during the early signing phase.

However, Daniels was fired from his national MoU this week, essentially reopening his recruiting (Daniels had not yet enrolled with Texas A&M).

247Sport reported that Daniels wanted to get out of his National Memorandum of Understanding because of the departure of defense analyst Ishmael Aristide.

Aristide left College Station to become the outside linebacker trainer in Miami.

LSU Football is one of three programs in the mix to land Kendal Daniels

The Tigers still have a scholarship and saved it because a talented player can reach the transfer portal.

Daniels would certainly fit the bill. The four-star recruit could play linebacker at the next level, which would add a lot of versatility to any team that signs him.

According to Shea DixonThe Tigers, who cover LSU for 247Sports, are keen to bring Daniels to Baton Rouge.

Dixon also noted that there are three teams that appear to be favorites for Daniels landing – LSU, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State.

Landing Daniels over his home teams could be tough, but the talented defender left Oklahoma initially for Texas A&M, so it’s not out of the question that LSU could win this recruitment battle.

It’s rare for such a talented player to be still available at the end of February, but thanks to the transfer portal’s increasing popularity, this is becoming more common.
