Friday is the deadline for the owner’s of several Mackinaw City hotels to respond to Michigan’s Attorney General.

9&10 News told you last week about the investigation into the hotels owned by the Leghio family.

Friday is the deadline the Attorney General’s Office gave them to address their business practices.

The Attorney General’s Office tells 9&10 News that they are in negotiations with the hotel owners and their attorney.

An investigation found evidence of bait and switch type tactics used by the hotels after a customer complaint.

The hotels would allegedly cancel reservations without notice, offer customers a non-comparable room, then deny them a refund.

The Attorney General’s Office says they are still getting complaints about alleged bad practices by the hotel.
