Police arrested a man early Tuesday morning after a hotel attendant said he was threatened with a gun by the suspect at a resort in Miami Beach.

Officials arrived at the Royal Palm South Beach Resort on 1545 Collins Avenue after the clerk said he was threatened after a group of men came down to get their car.

The clerk told police that one of the men showed him the gun after being asked to pay for valet parking. After that, the man took the keys from the work stand and sped away from the scene.

Officers were later able to spot the affected car near the intersection of 41st Street and Alton Road with three men inside.

One of the men was arrested and taken to prison.

Investigators found several weapons in the car, including a powerful assault rifle. Officials did not reveal the identity of the man in custody or say whether the other men in the vehicle would also bring charges.

The officials did not say whether the hotel worker was injured in the incident.
