Marriott International Inc. has announced that it will open more than 30 luxury hotels in 2022.

The company is poised to expand its luxury footprint in destinations of nearly 190 properties in the development pipeline, including 30 hotels due to open in 2022 Mexico to Portugal and Australia to South Korea.

“Our guests are looking for deeper, more immersive experiences that allow them to indulge in global exploration while stimulating personal regeneration,” said Chris Gabaldon, Senior Vice President, Luxury Brands, Marriott International.

Luxury is entering a new era of regeneration
A global luxury trend study conducted in collaboration with creative agency Team One found that today’s wealthy travelers are moving from a “box-checking” mentality to a “well-traveled” mindset and adopting a more thoughtful and conscious approach to travel planning. Gabaldon noted, “As people re-examine and re-prioritize what matters most to them, a change that has accelerated over the past two years, we are seeing real acceptance of deeper travel. Our guests focus more on where they are going and why they are taking the trip to foster a more meaningful connection with their destination and the people they meet. ”

With a truly global presence, Marriott International is poised to fulfill this evolving drive and invite people to view travel as a canvas for regeneration that has lasting positive effects on locals and destinations. “From the world’s most sought-after travel destinations to undiscovered gems, we don’t just want to offer our guests moments of transformation and hope to create experiences that awaken a new sense of personal well-being and joy,” he said.

The Ritz-Carlton
With a focus on goal-oriented design and unparalleled service, The Ritz-Carlton continues to innovate and set the standard for luxury hospitality. In 2021 the brand was included in the Maldives, Turks and Caicos Islands, Mexico City and other. In 2022, the brand expects to expand into Arizona with The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie, and in New York City, debuting in the NoMad neighborhood, where rooms offer city views. The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne aims to increase the brand’s presence in Australia. Ritz-Carlton Reserve expects to expand its highly curated portfolio and introduce its sixth rare property in the Jiuzhaigou Valley, China. In line with the brand’s trend-setting design aesthetic, The Ritz-Carlton Moscow, The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman and The Ritz-Carlton, Naples all are expected to celebrate major renovations in the coming year. In addition, the brand expects to celebrate the inaugural cruise of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection in May 2022.

St. Regis
With its celebrated rituals, rich heritage and glamorous spirit, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is paving the way from an iconic hotel brand to a global luxury icon and, according to the company, expects its 50th hotel to open in the coming year.

In 2021, the brand expanded its presence in the middle East by introducing two properties in each Cairo and Dubaiand. Next year, The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl in. the brand further expanded in the region Qatar. In 2022, St. Regis supposed to debut in Chicago, with a Jeanne Gangdesigned building that has already become a new icon on the Windy City skyline, and the brand also expects its bespoke service and avant-garde style too Belgrade.

The mark continues to grow in leisure destinations and expects the number of resort properties to almost double over the next five years. This year the St. Regis Bermuda Resort made its debut, Marriott International’s first luxury hotel on the island, and next year the brand expects the opening of the St. Regis Kanai Resort in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, which features ocean views from almost everyone Lookout point. The St. Regis San Francisco also expects to celebrate the completion of a major renovation and a new look in 2022.

W Hotels
In 2021, W Hotels brought its unique take on luxury to destinations like Nashville, Osaka, Philadelphia, Melbourne, Xiamen and Romewhere a 162-room hotel consisting of two 19th-century palazzi Italy. With nearly 60 hotels around the world, W is defined by detail-oriented design, inspirational energy, a lively cocktail and dining culture, and an upscale program that is localized by travel destination, the company reports. With an ongoing focus on redefining and enhancing the W experience, the brand is set to open in exciting travel destinations over the next year, including the Algarve, Sydney, Dubai and Toronto.

EDITION
EDITION Hotels is an unexpected and refreshing collection of unique hotels that are redefining the concept of luxury Reykjavík and Dubai in 2021. The brand expects further international expansion in 2022 with the planned opening of six new properties, including locations in Madrid, Rome, Doha, Tampa, Riviera Maya in Kanai and Ginza, the second property in Tokyo. With currently 14 hotels worldwide, the brand is expected to have a presence of 20 hotels worldwide by the end of 2022.

The luxury collection
The Luxury Collection is a growing ensemble of nearly 120 hotels in more than 40 countries and territories around the world. In 2021, the brand debuted in Hungary with the opening of the converted UNESCO World Heritage Matildenpalast in Budapest, increased its presence in North America, brought sublime alpine interiors and the vibrancy of Rocky Mountain into the Vail by the Hytheand presented a distinctive, heritage-inspired design in South Korea with the opening of the Josun Palace. With each hotel offering unique experiences and serving as a portal to the destination’s native charms, The Luxury Collection will showcase its first properties in fascinating locations around the world next year, including Spain, India, that Dominican Republic, Mexico and Tbilisi, Georgia.

JW Marriott
JW Marriott celebrated its recent openings in Charlotte, Monterrey, Shanghai and Tampa. In the coming year the brand will have new openings in destinations from Cairo to Istanbul, and Mexico to Jeju Island, South Korea.
